A few weeks ago I was given one of the greatest compliments of my life. One of the other students on this course walked in and said, “Andrew, you’ve inspired me. I’ve decided that I’m going to start reading more.”
That, in itself, would have made me pretty damn happy, but then I asked him what he was going to start reading, and I went over the moon.
“I got the first book of the Dark Tower series by Stephen King called The Gunslinger…”
He’s made it through the first two books in two weeks, and is starting The Waste Lands now. Even if I accomplish nothing else in the next three months, my time here was definitely not wasted.
